Privacy and Cookie Policy for the BlueNord Group

 

This privacy policy sets out how BlueNord ASA, BlueNord Energy Denmark A/S, BlueNord Energy UK Ltd. and their affiliates (together “BlueNord”, “we”, “us”) use, process and store personal data when you use this website or otherwise interact with us as described below.

The entities in the BlueNord group may each act as a controller or data processor of the processing described below. The entities are responsible for selected processing activities within their sphere of control and have entered into data processing agreements in order to regulate their rights and obligations in this regard.

Personal data or personal information means any information relating to an identified or identifiable natural person.

 

1          What personal data we collect and why

 

1.1     Cookies on www bluenord.com

We use Google Analytics to get statistics on how visitors navigate and use our web pages. For example, we get to know the time of day, which pages they visit, and how long they use the page. We do not store any personal information about this.

Google Analytics is a web analytics service provided by Google Inc. Google Analytics uses cookies, which allow the website to collect your IP address and analyse how our visitors use our site. The information in the cookies is transmitted to and stored by Google. Google will use the information for purposes of evaluating the users’ use of the website, create activity reports, and similar. This information may be transferred to third parties if required by law, or if said third parties process the information on Google’s behalf.  Note, however, that Google will not associate your IP address with any other data that is in Google’s possession, and that the stored information is to be solely used for analysis of web traffic and website use.

To ensure your privacy, we use anonymize IP, a feature that allows all information that can identify you, including IP address, to be anonymized. We have by default enabled temporary cookies in Google Analytics, which then will be deleted when you close the website.

If you do not accept our use of cookies, you can change your cookie preferences through your browser settings. Note that blocking cookies might stop our website from functioning properly. BlueNord ASA is the controller for this processing activity.

 

1.2  Press releases & newsletters

If you subscribe to receive news and press releases from us, we will collect and store your e-mail address to send you the relevant information and invitations We use Cision to provide this service.

Such processing is based on your consent, and you can withdraw your consent at any time by unsubscribing from the news releases. You unsubscribe by clicking the designated link in the e-mails you receive from us. If you withdraw your consent to receive press releases from us, we will stop processing your e-mail address for this purpose. BlueNord ASA is the controller for this processing activity.

When registered with Cision you will be notified about our quarterly webcast presentations hosted by Hegnar Media.

 

1.3  Vendors & suppliers

We use several vendors and suppliers who provide us with services and support. We collect and store contact information such as names, e-mail addresses, phone numbers and addresses of contact persons representing our vendors and suppliers. We process this information in order to administer and fulfil our contractual relationships to such vendors and suppliers. In some cases, we process such information to administer and execute procurement processes.

The legal basis for processing of such data is either that processing is necessary for compliance with a legal obligation we are subject to, to fulfil a contractual obligation or that the processing is necessary for the purposes of our legitimate interests of maintaining a good relationship with our business partners. The personal data is processed for as long as necessary in order to administer and fulfil the contractual relationship or procurement process, or as long as required by law. The BlueNord Group entity that is related to the contractual relationship or procurement process, will normally be the controller for such processing.

 

1.4  Information about shareholders

BlueNord ASA’s shares are listed on the Oslo Stock Exchange under the ticket BNOR. Euronext Securities Oslo has a license to operate securities registers in Norway. In order to fulfil the obligations attached to the operation of the securities register, Euronext Securities Oslo processes information about shareholders and transactions. We process your personal data as a shareholder to comply with our legal obligations. We may also share your personal data with our auditors, tax authorities, regulators, and other third parties as required by law or as necessary to protect our legitimate interests. We will only retain your personal data as a shareholder for as long as we need to fulfil our legal and contractual obligations and to defend any potential claims.

 

1.5 Contact & other inquiries

If you contact us by using the contact information provided on this website or social media, we will process your contact information and other information that you provide to us in that regard. We will process this information in order to answer your inquiries and provide information to you.

The legal basis for processing of such data is either that processing is necessary for the performance of a contract with you, in order to take steps at your request prior to entering into a contract, or that the processing is necessary for the purposes of our legitimate interests of replying to our website visitors. The personal data is processed for as long as necessary in order to answer your inquiry or administer or fulfil a contractual relationship with you. BlueNord ASA is the controller for this processing activity.

 

1.6 Job applicants

If you apply for a job with us when announced on our LinkedIn profile or other recruitment sites, your information is stored in our recruitment system CVideo. We collect information such as name, contact information, picture, video, CV, application, diplomas, statements from references, work permit, and other information that you provide to us in this regard. We process the above-mentioned information in order to recruit new employees in a secure manner.

All job applications and information related thereto shall be submitted through our recruitment system where access to the system is linked into our job advertisements posted. Any applications and related information received by e-mail will be deleted.

The legal basis for the processing is either that processing is necessary in order to take steps prior to entering into a contract with you. The personal data of applicants who are not hired, is processed for as long as necessary in order to fulfil the recruitment process, or otherwise in accordance with a given consent. The BlueNord Group entity that is related to the recruitment process, will be the controller for such processing.

 

2         Sharing of personal data with third parties

We do not sell or disclose your personal data to companies outside of the BlueNord Group. We may use third party data processors to process personal data on our behalf, for example when delivering an IT service to us. We have entered into data processing agreements with our data processors in order to ensure information security.

BlueNord will only transfer your personal data out of the EU/EEA e.g. statistics from Google Analytics, if it is necessary to provide a user-friendly and satisfactory website, or if other reasons necessitate it. In all such cases, BlueNord will ensure that adequate security guarantees are provided and that the recipient is subject to the same or equivalent obligations as those within the EU/EEA. This includes ensuring that we have secured a valid transfer basis and that your rights are adequately protected. This will normally be because:

  • The EU Commission has made an adequacy decision, confirming that the recipient country ensures an adequate level of protection, cf. GDPR Article 45, or
  • We have entered into an agreement with the recipient of your personal data containing the EU Commission’s standard data protection clauses, cf. GDPR Article 46(2)(c).

3         How long we keep your data

We retain your personal data for as long as it is necessary to complete the purpose of the processing, or otherwise for as long as it is required according to applicable law.

We will delete personal data which are no longer necessary in relation to the purposes for which they were collected or otherwise processed. For example, if you unsubscribe to receive news and press releases us, Cision will delete your e-mail address automatically within 30 days. 4        Your rights

When BlueNord processes personal data, you have several rights under Chapter III of the GDPR. This means that:

  • You have the right to receive confirmation as to whether BlueNord processes personal data about you and to access this personal data, as well as the purpose of the processing.
  • You have the right to verify and, if necessary, correct inaccurate personal data we process about you and supplement any incomplete personal data.
  • You have the right to limit processing of your personal data in some cases.
  • You have the right to object to the processing of your personal data and withdraw any consents you have given. However, we inform you that withdrawing consent will not affect the lawfulness of processing already carried out.
  • You have the right to have your personal data deleted unless BlueNord has another legal basis or is otherwise obligated to continue processing.

If you believe that our processing of personal data does not comply with our privacy policy or with applicable law, we kindly ask you to inform us. You are also entitled to complain to the relevant local supervisory authority.

This privacy policy was last updated 22 March 2024. We may change this privacy policy from time to time. Any such changes will be posted on our website and, if necessary and appropriate, notified to you.
